There now. Wasn't that tedious? You may notice that this is the only page on the site where there is html text as opposed to hand-drawn artwork. Part of rootwood's asthetic is the application of the human element to our post-modern technologies and media. Wherever possible, the visible effects of a human hand should be implemented over a digitally created element.
The challenge of post-modernity lies in maintaining the relevance of human participation in society's processes. In a world were we are free to be whatever we want, without restrictions of tradition or creed, the pressure of a citizen's value is all heaped upon the individual. When faced with all the magnificent achievements that our technology and social institutions have wrought, one can understand how it would be a struggle for many to feel empowered. The case is more often that individuals are obfuscated and absorbed into the great grey masses, and allow themselves to become defined by their marketing demographic.
Am I full of crap? Tell me.
